Illinois Bankruptcy Courts - Southern District

The Illinois Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District maintains three divisional offices and serves 37 counties. The 2003 case volume was divided among the following chapters:

The maintains three offices, the East St. Louis Division, Benton Division, and Effington Division. The Court's jurisdiction extends over the counties of Alexander, Bond, Calhoun, Clark, Clay, Clinton, Crawford, Cumberland, Edwards, Fayette, Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Jersey, Johnson, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Massac, Monroe, Perry, Pope, Pulaski, Randolph, Richland, St. Clair, Saline, Union, Wabash, Washington, Wayne, White, and Williamson County.

The Southern District supplies debtors with web access to petitions, schedules and related forms and documents. Also, local rules and filing instructions are available.
